A Weekend of Delight

This is Michelle. Michelle is one of my best-all-time-all-around-kindred-spirit-best-friends-in-the-world-ever-friends. We were roommates for a good three months but the friendship we have must have started back in the pre-mortal life.

See even by accident we would dress alike.
But not only do I love her, but Travis and her get a long so well. As can be seen by this picture:
So this weekend we ventured up to Idaho Falls (it was a whirlwind trip so sorry for those of you that live up there that we weren't able to see!) We left right after work on Saturday so that we could make it to one of my best friends in the whole world's daughter's baby blessing! It was wonderful! It was so wonderful.

Shawn and Michelle will have their fourth wedding anniversary in June and have waited a long time to get their precious little AnnaLynn to join their family. We are so excited that she is here! Kyler refers to her as either "Baby Lynn" or "Little Sister".

I know AnnaLynn and Kyler don't really look too happy with the picture taking going on, but Eldon is eating it up!

And this is me and Travis . . . in case you forgot what we look like. Anyways it was a great day and we had so much fun! We were able to stay at my sister-in-law Tavia's home and got to hang out with her, David and their great kids.

This just goes to show that I am not meant to be a drum player! I had no rhythm!!

Kyler and Brennan enjoyed going down the stairs in his sleeping bag. They thought it was so much fun and would laugh and laugh and laugh! It was cute.

All in all a great weekend! I hope you had a great weekend too!

Yes we now have a 3 year old!!

Kyler had his third birthday this week. We did what we could to make it a good week for him. I had no idea what pressures it was for parents to create a magical memories, until I became one! My parents made it seem so natural! Anyways here are some pictures of the highlights of the week.
It started off with our first real boy accident. Kyler went to jump out of the minivan when his foot got caught in the diaper bag and he fell head first out of it onto the concrete.

Then of course it was St. Patricks Day and we woke up to find that the Leprechauns brought us a kite!
On his birthday we took Eldon to a friends house and picked up Papa for lunch at our cities finest . . .McDonalds!
Then we were off to the park to enjoy the beautiful spring like weather (that has since disappeared under a layer of snow!)

Travis didn't get home until late so here is Kyler waiting for Travis so that we could open presents and eat cake.

We opened the presents that we got him and also the ones from Grandma and Grandpa Hogman (Which he is opening in this picture and thank you because he loved everything!)

Here he is with all the gifts he opened that day.

Then on Saturday we had his first ever friend party! There were eight little kiddies running around and I learned so much about what to do and not do for next time! But everyone seemed to have a great time! And of course here is the much anticipated train cake. I was pretty proud of it! Thanks to my parents and Steve and Vashti with all their help at the party! They were lifesavers!

Then we went back to our house flew the kite for a little bit then had a dinner of waffles, bacon, and sausages (I know very healthy!). Then he opened the last of his gifts. Here he is with all the gifts he opened that day!

He is so great! I love him so much! He's a great kid and I hope you all get to meet him some day because I think he's pretty spectacular!

P.S. Mom and Dad Hogman . . .Today we started watching Pinocchio and this is what Kyler looked like when he was watching it. Thank you again!

Latest Adventures

We took Eldon swimming the other day for Family Home Evening. Eldon hasn't been a big fan of water since he's been a baby. He's just barely liking baths but swimming was just too much for him. He did get brave and hit his hands in the water a little bit but he stayed holding on to us as tight as he could.

Kyler of course loved it and this is the closest I could get him to look at the camera!

Travis did try Eldon on his back a little bit, he didn't cry too hard!

This is how we dressed Eldon up for church a few sundays ago. I thought he looked pretty darn cute! This is Kyler's first attempt to write his own name. We did have to tell him where to draw his lines but besides that he did it himself. This weekend we went to West Valley and had a shower for my future sister in law Vashti. Here she is with one of her presents. It was great to get together. We haven't had a lot of time to get to know her so it was good to have another chance to get to know her better. We had the shower at my Dad's seminary, hence all the desks and apostles!
