Inventory

Travis had inventory last weekend and as tempting as it was to stay at home waiting for my husband to get home around midnight . . . I decided to run to my parents house! So the boys and I prepared ourselves for a weekend of adventure! Sure enough we had a great time eating and talking and playing around and of course a trip to the zoo! The zoo was the highlight of the trip and Kyler prayed about it every night.

Eldon really was there in the last picture, he just looked like this in the back seat of the stroller.

Also our little Eldon is growing up so fast! I can't believe that on Monday he'll be 7 months! Crazy! He is such a joy! He is starting to pull himself up on things . . . not onto his feet though he did try to do that yesterday, but he pulls hims up to his knees. This picture for example shows what I mean:

The other night I went to go check on the boys before going to bed myself. I first looked in on Eldon and he was doing fine and still in his covers. Then I looked up to Kyler . . .he wasn't there! I pulled the covers back far . . . no he wasn't in his bed. I looked on the floor to see if he had fallen out! Nope! Then he started snoring. Eldon had been crying when we had put him to bed and Kyler had crawled into bed with him. Hilarious, I was laughing so hard!

Disclaimer with an Update

Well I haven't blogged forever! So in order to make up for it there are quite a few posts . . .alright just three about our holiday. Make sure that you check them out or at least look at the pictures for the my boys are growing up! This little post will just catch you up on what has been happening at our house since the holidays. We got Kyler a bunk bed but because of the lack of space we have this is how we had to rig up the room:

Eldon is crawling like a maniac. He scooted and semi-crawled for the last month and a half. But he finally got the knees and hand coordination about five days after he turned six months. He is everywhere and into everything! And I love it! His six month check up informed us that he is in the tenth percentile in everything . . .so he is quite the little man!

We've gotten a lot of snow, like most of you have too! We are enjoying playing in it and for some reason instead of makin snowmen Kyler wants to make temples . . .but then he kicks them down . . .I don't quite know how I feel about that!

Kyler is potty trained . . .He still has accidents every so often but we can go days in between when that happens! And Eldon is on a schedule of sleeping and eating! It is fabulous and I'm a much happier Mama because of both events!

Eldon isn't terrifyed of Kyler any more! They are actually getting along quite splendidly! It is so fun to watch.

Christmas Day!

We had a great Christmas. I wont bore you with who got what from whom but here are a few pictures of our favorite gifts. We spent the day together as a family in our own home. This is the first Christmas we have ever spent waking up in our own beds since we've been married. It was wonderful! Family was supposed to come up to see us but because of a snow storm they were put off until the next day. Which I'm not going to lie made me kind of sad but it ended up being a wonderful day.

Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve we went down to Provo and had the annual Porter Family Christmas Eve Program. It was held at my Grandma and Grandpa Brady's home. I am so blessed to have all four Grandparents still alive and they live so close together. I remember being a little girl and my Grandma Brady telling me that my Grandma Porter was one of her best friends. After a yummy dinner we had the program.

Kyler and I told a story, Kyler sang "I am a Child of God", Aunt Debbie told a story, we all read from the Bible, we shared some of our favorite memories of snow and Christmas time, and we played the BELLS!! (Sorry no pictures, we were too concentrated on playing our bell at the right time!) Every year we ring the bells and it is everyones favorite part! Then my family and my brother Steve and his intended Vashti, went to Temple Square. Another favorite tradition.

We walked around and looked at the lights and then parted ways, as we drove home to Evanston and they headed to my parents house. At our home opened our new PJ's and then set out our stockings. We also got cookies and milk out for Santa.

It was a great Christmas Eve!!
