Going Swimming

First of all let me say that you should never go swimming with three little boys with just two adults. Especially if one hates the water and the other one is barely four months. Needless to say it was crazy, but everyone seemed to have a good time so I guess it was worth it. Eldon has never been a major fan of the water but once he realizes he can splash in it then he stops the screaming does fine (by fine I mean he is willing to let go of my neck with one hand). Isaac loved his first swimming experience and Kyler is a fish. All in all a great FHE night!!

I love how it looks like Eldon is trying to dunk Kyler by barely pressing down on his shoulder!

On another note we gave Isaac his first solids on Tuesday. When the Dr. looked him over at his four month check up she said that it looks like he was ready! I had to concur, he is always hungry! I was so surprised that the experience left him completely emotionless. Seriously look at how he has no expression on his face . . .me on the other hand appears to be ecstatic or drunk . . .seeing that I don't drink it must be the first option.

Making a Masterpiece

So when Travis and I got married we were unpacking and we came across a blank canvas. Well he wasn't an artist and I thought it was so random that he would have one. We decided then and there that we would let our children paint on it. It then evolved into that when each of our children turn 18 months we would let them paint a masterpiece. So today we let Eldon paint his and I couldn't help comparing how the two turned out so differently. Kyler and Eldon are like night and day and these paintings just go to show it!

Kyler didn't hardly even touch the paint brush and was more interested in using his hands to paint. And though his hands got very messy he made sure that he was very neat with how he applied it to the canvas. Kyler's painting is a lot of dots and thumb prints.

Eldon on the other hand wanted to use only the paint brush until the very end. He hardly got his hands messy but loved mixing colors on the canvas. His painting involved long strokes.

It is just so interesting to see how differently they turned out. I can't wait to see what Isaac's will look like next year!
